Recipe No. 6 – How To Become A Cult Leader.

Step One: Have an idea. A good one. One that will sell itself.

Step Two: Prey on minds that believe they need what you’re selling. Usually, in some form or another, the sell is about a particular lifestyle or image. They will begin to follow you, oh great leader.

Step Three: Keep your followers on their toes. Make sure they are so brainwashed and bathed in fear that it will take a great leap in life to stop following you. Ever.

Step Four: When minds start to wake up to whatever they’ve believed, make sure you have enough money to keep your cult going. Discredit non-believers at every turn. Be so fearful and powerless- errr, I mean fearED and powerFUL that you don’t have to appear to be grasping at straws to maintain “order.”

CONGRATULATIONS! 👏 YOU HAVE BECOME A CULT LEADER.* 😱

*A cult can be seen as such depending on perspective. Scientology? Consult the dictionary definition. An economy based on consumerism? You decide.

Phases of the Moon: Day Twenty-Nine.

Not heard
So extremes are enacted:
Scream or go silent.

Not seen
So extremes are reactive:
Deny or disappear.

Already wounded
With a world’s wrong recipe
On how to help heal. To calm.

Step One: Blame the victim.
The wound expands, bleeding
For its scream to be seen.

Step Two: Discern transparency.
Manipulate for a self-service
The system scrambles to caulk its cracks.

Step Three: To the Board of Trustees.
To the wolves with a pack of cigarettes,
And the antidote to their own mistrust disease.

Step Four: Create a new story.
Mix egg whites, blend yellow with black pepper,
Add the cream of the crop-
Depending on the season of expenditures.

Step Five: Change of season.
It’s happened, and it’s not in your control-
It’s time to let go and to trust.

Step Six: Faultiness finds fault.
Neither yours, nor mine, nor others.
It’s time to see the side mirror, find peace.

Step Seven: Magic transfers power.
The wolves hand over their creation for all
Their destruction offers space to rebuild.

Step Eight: Clear the spiders
Who live in the cracks of your car
Webs are indeed closer than they appear.

Step Nine: Accept no blame.
Stitch the wound with your grief
All the pain, not forgotten, can find relief.

Remember who you are
Remember where you come from
And write a new recipe with strength.

Last poem + last Phases of the Moon series posts (for now)…! Originally called, SOLD: Recipe For Healing, this poem so eloquently leads me into my next project. I am gearing up for my new (and more humorous) Inklings series: Recipes. Tomorrow I will share the opener to the next series. Onward!

Part I: Collective Reading

Vanessa Lamorte, M.A. and myself, Marlena McGuigan, M.A. decided it was time to do a joint spread on the current collective energies. Many of our individual stories seem to shy away from, collide with, and/or collude with various parts of the collective stream – all of the time. What is that stream offering us all? What are we as a collective experiencing and/or tapping into right now? We both drew cards from the decks that spoke to us, and we simplified our askings into three main areas: the current collective conscious; the current collective unconscious; and the lessons we are all currently being called to learn…
